Welcome to GAMBITO Clothing Co., a New York-based cartoon graphic novelty brand founded in 2018. GAMBITO is the creation of a dynamic husband-and-wife team, Kyle and Maye. Together, we bring our shared love of art, design, and storytelling to every aspect of the brand—from creating the illustrations to fulfilling each order with care.

 

GAMBITO was born from our love of nature and our fascination with the paranormal stories we’d listen to around the campfire. Growing up Latino and Andean Indian, storytelling was woven into our lives, shaping the way we saw the world. Legends of sasquatches, witches, and spells were so intertwined with the tales shared with us that they naturally made their way into the world we created for Gambito and his friends.

At GAMBITO, we blend the familiar with the fantastic, drawing inspiration from both nature and the otherworldly. Our designs celebrate everything from cryptids and magicians to enchanted flora and fungi, merging the normal and the paranormal in ways that spark curiosity and wonder.

Through our characters and the stories they tell, we aim to capture the wonder and mysticism of our world. GAMBITO is more than just clothing; it’s a message of curiosity, respect for nature, and a celebration of the unseen forces that make life magical.
